I thought it was called Guy Fawkes Night.

Well now that I look on Wikipedia, its both :p

I made a paper mache mask of Guy Fawkes... it looks a bit silly though. The cheeks protrude a bit... Anyway, good job. I'm not British but I'm aware of some British holidays :)

It was neatly done, but I seriously don't believe its the type of quality, as you stated that deserves all this recognition. I could probobly pick out an unknown gem from the pile of flash in the portal that would easily top this.

The only reason why this gained such recognition is the implementation of nintendo characters. If you had taken a different approach with the same basic design, this wouldn't be in the way of more well-made flash.

Like you said, your rushed animation including many tweens and sprite characters caused the lack of quality in this work. Overall it was OK.

It actually wasn't that great.

Pros:
1: humorous CS:S Flash using stick figures and noises/sounds from the game
2: well-traced screenshots from the game
3: player actions reflect actions in-game

Cons:
1: lack of graphical detail other than vision blur and stick figure FBF
2: what little actual voice acting there was in the beginning wasn't that great
3: some audio seemed out of sync
4: Too slow paced and not similar to an actual game of CS:S
5: CS:S sounds/noises became repetitive after a while
6: Obviously traced weapons

Overall it was alright, but too overly-hyped do to it being a CS:S flash to be worth its current attention.

theres a reason why putting it in flash was bad.

when converting normal video files into Flash Video Format, it greatly degrades the quality. This would be a lot better in its original .AVI or .MPG4 or whatever format it was in before you converted it to Flash.

I wouldn't consider this a "Flash" video and I would say this belongs on youtube or some other video website. If you were to make a soundboard or a music-maker where you can place the sounds on a timeline that play over an elapsed time, that would be more suitable for Flash format.

Then again, the makers of this website are nimrods that will place anything, regardless of its relation to the bareroots of the site, that display recent nerd culture on the frontpage. I don't see how this has any relation to half life other than the fact that the game itself is made using the same game engine... Newgrounds needs a new TF2 collections page.
