Well, i'm in the process of building myself a new computer. I've used this hand-me-down thing for the past year and I feel an upgrade to something not already old would be nice for my 16th birthday.
Specs:
q6600 (stock 2.4, but i'll probobly OC to 2.8 or 3.0)
8600 GTS (from my current comp. I'll probobly buy a 4850X2 when the prices drop after the 4890 comes out)
Thermaltake v9 Black Edition (case)
some huge red OCZ 750 watt PSU
The only two things i need to buy now are the RAM and mobo, but so far i'm looking at a crossfire mobo by ASRock and 4gb OCZ 1066 mhz DDR2 SDRAM. (later on i plan on getting a 4850 1x to run alongside the x2. I like how ATI makes that possible)
On another note, if anyone in the Inland Empire would like to buy a decent computer for $250, feel free to leave a post here. I'm also selling a dinkier comp that i'll free myself of for $100.
*EDIT
Well, I finished building it, and it works fine. I ended up going with a crossfire ASRock board and GSkill DDR2 1066 SDRAM. I also got an Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro and I'll probobly OC the processor next week.
